Previous Experience

Baloyi-Mere currently serve in the LPC as a Council Member, the Legal Practitioners’ Development Fund as a Board Member and in the Magistrates’ Commission as a Commissioner.

She was actively involved in the formation of Pan African Bar Association of South Africa (PABSA) and is one of the two founder members of the PABASA Loftus Chambers in Pretoria.

She was recommended for Senior Counsel status in 2020.

She is currently the National chairperson of PABASA.

Education

Lizzy was a teacher for 21 years prior to joining the Bar.

Field of Practice

She has a general litigation practice with her preferred areas of practice include constitutional, administrative, public procurement, customary, African and general commercial law. She has appeared in the High Court, the SCA, the Constitutional Court and the Labour Court. She has also acted as a judge in the Pretoria High Court.
