Previous Experience

Prior to joining the bar, Tshabalala was an admitted attorney from 2007 until 2009. I then joined the South African Revenue Service (SARS) from 2009 until 2019 as a Legal Advisor and Specialist: Tax Dispute Resolution and Litigation.

Prior to joining SARS, I mainly practiced in the areas of labour law, criminal law and civil litigation. I have over 10 years’ experience in tax law in the areas of tax administration, tax dispute resolution and revenue tax court litigation, where I have appeared as a SARS representative in the Tax Court.

Education

LLB (UJ) 2005, PGDip in International Tax (UJ) 2019.
